Who’s paying attention to a 411 business listing?
We are! We always make sure that the businesses we are working with are listed in the 411 directory. But besides us, who else is paying attention and why?
Because when we begin the business credit building process, one of the first things a supplier or creditor checks to verify the legitimacy of your business is whether or not you have a 411 business listing.
The absence of a 411 business listing throws up a red flag in the underwriting process with most creditors and can result in the denial of credit. We absolutely don’t want you getting denied for business credit due to such a small thing!
In the past, Voice over Internet Protocol (VOIP) and cell phones were not allowed to used to get a 411 business listing. Now, you can use VOIP and cell phones, but free forwarding services like Google Voice are not allowed.
Even though you can use a cell phone number, we recommend setting up a separate business line from a practicality standpoint. Your business phone number will be everywhere: the internet, forms, business cards, vehicles decals, other advertising, etc. Having a separate business line will help you differentiate between personal calls from friends and loved ones, versus business calls.
Listing your business in the 411 directory can be anywhere from free to a very minimal cost. Need help setting up a business line or creating your listing? Talk to an advisor today! 813-337-7391
